How attached are you to your love handles? We're willing to bet that you do not love your love handles at all. Actually you probably dislike that extra weight. Love handles are uncomfortable. Depending on how quickly they are growing they can also be quite itchy and painful. Gratefully, that extra weight doesn't have to hang around for long. There are a lot of ways to deal with love handles. There are just as many ways to lose your love handles. Keep reading to learn more!
Don't get so preoccupied with your love handles that you neglect the rest of your body. You want to focus on getting your whole body in shape. This means working on all of your muscles and bodily systems.
There really isn't any way to spot check one part of your body at a time. If you overwork a specific area, the muscles in that area are built up, but this won't reduce the size (it could even do the opposite). When you focus on making sure that your whole body is healthy not only will you start to look better but you will start to feel better as well. You come out ahead in every way!
Try practicing proper posture. Burn calories by standing straight and sitting up correctly all day. This energy requires the burning of calories. In the beginning, sitting up straight can be an exercise if you aren't use to it. In addition to helping you burn calories, practicing proper posture can help reduce the appearance of the love handles that you are carrying around. Especially when you are walking around. By practicing proper posture you are actually making yourself look better. Your love handles actually look bigger when you slouch.
Another helpful practice is to keep a journal. It can be annoying to write down everything you eat and do. It can be very helpful, however, in the long run in helping you figure out how to balance your lifestyle. If you know what you have eaten, you will know how many calories you need to burn. Your doctor can also use your food journal to help you lose the weight if you find exercise and eating right just isn't helping. The more your doctor knows about your lifestyle the better able he or she will be to put together a routine that will work for you.
Dealing with your love handles does not have to be difficult. In the end, all it takes is some simple changes to your lifestyle and you can watch your love handles disappear. Be prepared for this to take some time though. Soon they will be a thing of the past though, with the proper diet and exercise plan. Then you will once again fit into your pants correctly!
