Some Words on the Quickest Way to Lose Weight
Most people are interested in the quickest way to lose weight. This was certainly my own personal goal at various times when I needed to shave off a few pounds. However, I also need to point out that this method can be considered a ‘fool's errand’ of sorts.
The reason is that unless you are a competitive athlete that needs to be in a certain weight class, there is no reason to force yourself to drop weight in an expedient timeframe. Quite honestly, such an approach is counterproductive.
Health First
Take my advice: if you become sickly and sapped of energy, you are not going to worry about losing weight. You will be worrying about getting better. That is why you need to avoid the path to the quickest way to lose weight. Not only is this because it is not healthy, it also is not an effective strategy to follow either.
Water Weight - Not Fat
The common way that people lose weight in an expedited manner would be to employ drastic calorie reduction strategies. Again, such a process is not a good one. First of all, when you drastically cut back on the amount of calories you ingest, you will shed off a great deal of retained water. This is not always a bad thing - unless, of course, you end up dehydrated - but it will not be fat that you lose. And certainly, to attain a lean and healthy physique you will want to eliminate fat and not dehydrate yourself.
Have a Plan
More than anything else, I learned that a common sense approach to weight loss entails a reliable plan for success. This does not necessarily mean that the plan for success has to be overly complicated. Often, the simplest weight loss plans can be considered among the most effective.
Personally, I opted to eat better quality food, less fat and refined sugars, and increased my weekly exercise levels. This led to a significant decrease in body fat in a relatively short period of time. (20lbs in 6 months) Such a plan may not seem all complicated and the timeframe may seem long to some; but, this is a process that will deliver results because it is logical, reliable, and legitimate.
It is not a delusional strategy based on seeking ineffective or unrealistic outcomes. Sadly, such improper approaches are what most fad diets promote in their attempt to claim to deliver the quickest way to lose weight.
Side note: by better quality of food, I mean organic food. Processed food is among the worst culprits in terms of the potential to pack on excess and unnecessary weight.
Motivation
It is necessary to point out that motivation is a key factor in the potential to drop unnecessary weight from one's frame. If you want to burn off or lose fat, you need to have the right attitude in place because the process will require some effort. Yes, the quickest way to lose weight is found in the proper approach. That is an undeniable fact.
